Bestie beach day

Me, Jess and Meg went to Hilton Head Island for the day yesterday and had the best day! We spent the day on the beach soaking up the sun and chit chatting followed by shopping, an early dinner, and more shopping! I love these girls so much! It the perfect day for a fun filled day with my bff's. We laughed a ton, got caught up to speed on all the little deets of our lives, ate yummy food and scored some good day. Awesome day in my book!

Father's Day weekend

Father's Day weekend began on Friday when we took Adam's dad to dinner at Carrabba's! It was nice quite time with just our little family.  It is rare we get to spend time with just us, his parents and brother.  We were missing Megan because she went a little trip with her family.  We has such a great time enjoying one another and eating some good food.  Me and Dad are italians at heart!

Saturday I worked and then we took the girls to mom and dad's while we went to Admanda and Cody's couple's shower.  I failed to take pictures because I was having such a great time!  Her parents grilled out, the guys played ladder ball, and the girls just chatted :)  My kind of a fun night!  Can't wait until we are headed to Ashville for her bachlorette party!  Love me some girl time! 

On Sunday, we suprised Adam with breakfast from New Moon and then gave him his gifts and went to church.  After church, we met the family at Uncle Mac's for a cookout and swimming.  We had such a fun time together with family.  Adam is so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful Godly men that has shaped the man and father he has become!  He is such a great daddy to my girls!  He loves on them and spends quality time with them.  He plays "kitchen" and "babies" with them and does bathtime.  He cuddles them and sings to them.  All these things and more make my heart so happy and seeing him with our girls and the smile he brings to their face makes me feel so blessed!  I pray for their relationship and that he will always be their hero!

I didn't get pictures of M because she slept the whole time ha!  She is such a great baby!  We had a wonderful weekend and I am so thankful for all the wonderful fathers' in my life!

Our Weekend

We had such a great weekend together!  Saturday, after I got home from work, we got us and the girls ready and met the family at Cracker Barrel.  It was our last hoo-rah before Mem and Pep Lambert, Matante Michelle, Aunt Florence, and Uncle Eddie headed back north.  After dinner, we did a little shopping in the country store and rocked in the rocking chairs outside!  Someday I will own those rocking chairs for my front porck :)  Then we went to visit Uncle Nicholas at Dunkin Dounts for dessert!

Sunday, we got ready and went to church.  Then ate at Grandma's aka "Grammy."  That is what E started calling her out of the blue and ofcourse she loves it so it stuck ha!  Then we came home for naps and went to visit with mom and dad.  We ordered take out from Red Bowl and it was delicious!  We came back to their house to eat dinner and watch a movie.  Man is it hard to watch a movie with a 2 yr old and 2 mth old...whew...and then we started smelling a burnt smell, and come to find out it was their air unit that went ka-put :(  So we called it a night and went home.

Above are pictures of the girls after naptime, sans bows :(  It was the best I could get....someday, someday I will get perfect pictures of the two of them with cheesey grins, but until then this will do :)

Beach weekend

Each year, the week after school gets out, we head to the beach with Adam's entire family on both sides.  This year, we didn't get to stay the full week because we both had to work.  I planned to go back up during the week when I was off but it rained so I didn't.  But we had a wonderful weekend while we were there and enjoyed every last second together with family. 

Mom and Dad took the girls up with them Friday afternoon, and then Ad and I met them there Friday night.  It was a nice peaceful drive, just the two of us :)  Both girls were still up when we got there so that was a nice treat.  We missed them and got to spend a few minutes with them before they went to sleep.  Ella Jae slept on the bed for the first time, and we were nervous at how she would do.  But she did great!  We got her to sleep in our bed and then put her in her bed and she slept the whole night and didn't ever try to get out.  We did buy a railing for a toddler bed and it seemed to do the trick!

Saturday, we got up and took our time getting ready.  We made it to the beach around noon.  I felt like I was packing to go on another vacation and we were just heading over to the beach ha!  It was a lot of work, but it was worth it.  Don't think I could do it everyday for a whole week, though!  I am sure next year will be much easier!...On second thought...we will have TWO little ones to chase ha!

Ella Jae LOVED the ocean!  We had to stay at the water with her the ENTIRE time.  And she knows NO fear.  She wanted to run into the water and go deeper.  It was such a joy to see her light up like that!  She was squealing and laughing!  Maeline didn't seem to mind it either :) She is such a great and 'go with the flow' baby!  She just relaxed, took it all in, and gave us a few smiled before she napped on the beach.  E finally gave it up around 4pm and napped as well.  Ad and I enjoyed some R & R.  I took laying out on the beach for granted....NEVER AGAIN!

Saturday night, we came in from the beach later than expected because the girls were napping so got ready in a hurry and headed to Coligny for dinner, custard and shopping!  We ate a new place called the Frosty Frog!  We love trying new places on the island.  The guys took the girls back a little early so us 'big' girls could enjoy some shopping :)  It was awesome!

Sunday, everyone went to the beach except for me and M.  I decided to stay back because we couldn't stay too long because we had to leave kind of early and it was a lot of work for such a short amount of time.  So Ad and E went to the beach with the whole gang and me and M went shopping at the outlets :)  Sweet M slept the whole time and it was such a perfect day for shopping.  We rounded out our weekend at Giuseppi's for dinner and then made our way home.  It was such a well spent weekend.  We made lots of memories and I look forward to many more at Hilton Head Island with the family and my precious girls!

MEMORIAL WEEKEND

Memorial Weekend was such a fun and busy weekend!  Gotta love a long holiday weekend!  Saturday I headed to a Bridal Luncheon for my BFF Amanda.  She is getting married on my anniversary, and I can't wait to be a part of her special on my special day ha!  It was such fun girl time and much needed!  Afterwards, I met up with Ad and the girls at Mom and Dad's and then we went to pick up Matante Michelle at the airport and followed up with dinner at Cheddar's and icecream at Brusters!

Sunday was a special day...more on that later :)  But we had a cookout at Mom and Dad's and did a lot of eating and some swimming with the whole fam.

Monday we took the boat to the lake for the day and had a great time.  We got rained out and spent some time in the car with sleeping babies, but fortunately the rain came at the end of the day and we were ready to pack up and leave anyway.........
