*Random fun*

Last night Adam and I decided to go out for dinner...my favorite...Tako Sushi in downtown Aiken! I love downtown Aiken! It has to be the cutest swank downtown ever! Anyways, so when we were pulling up we noticed an usual amount of people and turns out all of downtown was having a "beach blast!" All the stores stay open later then normal and some had snow cone machines and others were grilling hotdogs! There was even beach music playing and people dancing the "shag" aka the south carolina dance. It was so neat! So we ate dinner and it was so yum, then we walked around for short period of time and then all of a sudden it got really dark and windy so we headed back home :( Although the night ended a lot sooner than we would have liked, we still had a fun time! I even snapped a few pictures that I plan to post later! I really enjoy those times when you set out to do nothing special and then encounter random unexpected fun!!

When the going get tough...the tough go to the beach...

And that is exactly where we are headed! We will be beach bound in a few hours! I am so excited!! My bags are packed and there is is only a load of laundry that needs to be put away...then it is off for a pedicure! I can't go to the beach with crusty feet!! Then I will be anxiously awaiting the arrival of my husband, and believe me when I tell you that I will be sitting on GO! I mean honestly what could be better than waking up late, sitting on the beach soaking up the sun, board games and lots of timeless dvd's, shopping, and eating unhealthy (hey...it's vacation)???? *EXCITED*

Happy Bridal Shower Day, Tanya!

Today my really good friend, Tanya, is having her Bridal Shower. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend because it is in Rhode Island :( Tanya and Tommy are getting married in September, and Adam and I are both in the wedding! We are so excited and cannot wait for their wedding! They are such a sweet couple!

~My little guys~

My cousin, Tiff (who is like my big sis), has two little boys, Lathen-3yrs old and Baker-8 mths old. They are sweet as pie and I could just kiss their little faces off! I try to spend as much time with them as I can but it is never often enough. So when I do spend time with them I just soak it up! We have so much fun together! Lathan calls me "Ebee!" We have photo shoots with my camera whenever we are together. He is getting so big and will start 3K in the fall. He is so smart and amazes me with some of the statements that he makes! And little Baker is at the age where he is balls of fun, you can just smile at him and he'll laugh! Tiff was telling me today how he loves to look at himself in the mirror now and thinks its funny :) I am going to babysit Bake on Sunday while Tiff and Chris have some "big boy" time with Lathan at the movies. I can't wait!

I found this super cute plaque while shopping in a store that I love called CUDOS and stopped to write it down right then and there. Being born and raised southern, it really summed up the south pretty well! Love it!

Count down to the beach...

In a little over a week, we will be on our way to Myrtle Beach for a family vaca! Ahh...what could be better to look forward to? Adam acutally got the time off even though he has worked at 3 three different Wal-greens since he asked for the time off, bless his heart, he was determined to have a beach vaca, and I don't blame him! Each year, usually Memorial week, both of Adam's side of the family all goes camping at Pirate Land. What an adventure?! It is seriously like 25 people and we have the best time laying on the beach reading trash mags (People US Weekly, O.K., etc), playing sports on the beach, going to the Boardwalk and Broadway doing what us girls do best...SHOP!!!, grilling out, riding the golf cart around the campsite at night (when Nicholas isn't hogging it...lol), and my favorite, floating in the lazy river! I could seriously fall asleep in that lazy river! They play 60's music and I just feel so relaxed floating with the sun beaming down on me...ahh...I can't wait! I need to start packing because if I don't start now I will be in panic-mode! Next Tuesday will be here before I know it! Yah for beach trips!!!

Things I want to do this summer...

So, Memorial Day is over which means summer is here! I am such a list person so here is my list of summer "to-do's"...

1. Read the Twlight series
2. Go to the beach (Myrtle in June, Fripp in July, and some HH vacas too)
3. Go camping
4. Save and buy the Olympus E-520 camera
5. Buy a sewing machine
6. Learn how to sew
7. Sew something...or atleast try :-O
8. Finish remodeling our back garage
9. Take our dogs for more walks downtown
10. Go to yard sales
11. Go the the Farmers Market
12. Take day trips to quaint little towns on our days off
13. Enjoy Sundays with the family and late afternoon trips to Marble Slab for supper
14. Spend my Wednesdays off at Mama's by the pool
15. Spend July 4th and my birthday (the day after the 4th) at the beach...so fun!!

My favorites!

Two of my favorite shows, Dancing with the Stars and American Idol had their season finales!! What an exciting week! And bless Adam's heart, he endured both nights of both shows with me. Tuesday night was 3 full hours of Dancing with the Stars. The 3 hours were even a little much for me. They dragged it out too long, really, and by the 2nd hour Adam said "Amber, why do they have to drag it out so long? It's not like its the Super Bowl or anything!" And I said, "Adam, it is the Super Bowl for girls!!" And he laughed and said, "ok, I'll watch the 'Super Bowl for girls' with you!" :) It was cute!! But really, girls like that stuff and get into it just as much as guys enjoy sports! I was really shocked that Shawn Johnson won! I really wanted Melissa to win, but though it would be Gilles. But I am glad that Shawn won! She did really well!! And then last night...Amercican Idol!!! American Idol was awesome! To me, it was the best finale ever! It was like a concert! And it ended the way possible with Kris as the new American Idol!!! I was so excited!!! He is just a cutie and good guy, and he is very well-rounded!! Adam Lambert was not my favorite from the beginning. He was just a little too over the top and already a seasoned performer (not what Idol is about). I'm sorry, I'm just not crazy about guys that wear black eyeliner and glitter! But regardless, they both will have a career. Gossip Girl also had it's season finale this week! Megan has gotten me hooked on Gossip Girl! So now that the season ened, I can catch up on the season 1 and 2...thanks Megan :)

Our battle wounds...

Every Wednesday night is "family night" at Memere and Pepere Levesque's house. The whole family comes together for supper, and it is just a nice time to enjoy one another's company and talk about what is going on in our life at the moment. Lately, we have been playing kickball after supper. Usually, I am the only girl, but last night Megan (Nicholas' girlfriend) didn't have to work so she played too! Us girls dressed out and everything! We were really pumped...at first...then the injuries came! Megan got hit in the leg and had a bulging vein in her leg and several scratches, and I had got hit in the head by the ball, tripped to the ground over Nicholas leaving cuts and scrapes and a huge knot on my knee. So needless to say, us girls have called it quits for a while! But my team did win, which consisted on Adam, Uncle Mac, Pep, and myself! We did play well, despite all the injuries! And Pep is known for getting hurt, but thank goodness, he hasn't :) What can I say, there is never a dull moment on Wednesday night! It is something to always look forward to!
